Amanda Thomas is a Certified Nervous System Coach and Speaker, helping children and teens reduce stress and increase performance through nervous system regulation. She has created a R.I.S.E. Program and came to share it with us today.
She believes that through educating our youth on simple habits and balance exercises that support nervous system health, they will be equipped to reduce the mental, emotional, and physical effects of stress - FAST! This leads to greater self-awareness, clarity, and confidence to perform at their best.
It is that time of year!!!!

Dear Parents & Families,
This year, in coordination with the 3rd grade New Berlin Elementary music concert, on November 16, 2023, we will be selling tickets for a picnic table that has been decorated by each 3rd grade student. This picnic table is wooden and has been painted white, with red and blue handprints. The tickets will be one for $5 or 3 for $10 and the proceeds will benefit our PBIS “Salty Dough” program.
You may purchase a ticket in the New Berlin Elementary office or you may call (217)488-6054 to purchase a ticket. Tickets will be sold until the evening of the concert and the winning ticket will be drawn at the conclusion of the music concert.
We appreciate your support of our students and our efforts to provide a positive environment for our school.
Thank you!
New Berlin PBIS Committee

Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon spent some time with our 4th and 5th graders today. He talked about his job, gave some safety tips for Halloween, and talked about being drug free. Our students asked great questions and they were a very respectful audience. Thank you Mr. Allmon!
