CUSD 16 Board Members Speak at IASB State Convention
Board President Chris Gordon and Board Secretary Bill Alexander along with Superintendent Val Carr were asked to join Larry Dirks, IASB Field Consultant, in a conference presentation on Strategic Planning at the IASB State Convention held on November 19 in Chicago. They presented information on the process and outcomes of strategic planning and visioning.
CUSD 16 began using the Strategic Planning IASB model in 2009. Committees continue to develop vision planning for the District in this ongoing process. Recent activities completed as a result of strategic planning include expanded parking at NBHS, improved website, increased technology connectivity in all classrooms, and a thorough facilities study. Construction of restrooms on the sports complex will begin this spring and a District Dashboard will be online in the near future.
A review of the facilities study will be presented to the strategic planning committees on December 5 at 6:00 pm in the High School library. The community is welcome to attend.
